New Islamic Mideast is forming despite US desire, senior cleric

A senior cleric said here on Wednesday that the new Islamic Middle East is establishing despite the will of the US and the Zionist regime.

Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri made the remark while addressing the opening ceremony of the 25th International Islamic Unity Conference.
He said the wave of the Islamic Awakening has become an epidemy around the world in order to topple the bullying powers.
The Ayatollah expressed hope that the world would witness the Islamic sovereignty from East Asia to West Africa and wherever the Muslim nations live.
The 25th International Islamic Unity Conference opened in Tehran in the presence of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
The conference, with the objectives of preparing the ground for consolidation of unity and solidarity among the Islamic nations and finding solutions to the problems facing the world of Islam, will end on February 10.
